Cost of scuba diving on Tui Tai
Tui Tai is certified with the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) as an Intenational Resort Dive Boat, and our itinerary will give you the chance to dive every day and explore dive sites in many pristine and remote locations.
But what if you’re not a certified diver?
What if you’ve never been scuba diving in your life? In that case, you have an amazing opportunity: A course called Discover Scuba Diving, taught by our onboard PADI Dive Instructor - absolutely no prior diving experience necessary. We provide all your equipment. Standing in shallow water with our instructor, you are guided to merely bend down till you’re underwater. That’s how you become familiar with the scuba gear – and if there’s any anxiety, you just stand up. After some brief instruction, when you and the instructor feel you’re ready, you go for a real scuba dive at an amazing dive site – with your own personal instructor by your side the whole time.
The Discover Scuba experience costs just 240 Fijian Dollars (about $140 usd), and if you decide go again (which nearly everybody does), each subsequent dive goes down to just 199 Fijian Dollars.

MARINE BIOLOGY AND CONSERVATION CERTIFICATION
We’re dedicated to supporting conservation of Fiji’s marine ecosystems. One of the ways you can participate in the conservation program is by taking our Marine Biology and Conservation course. The course has been designed in conjunction with the PADI Project Aware and Go-ECO campaigns. This course is a great way to learn about marine conservation efforts and make your own contribution to the cause. The Marine Biology and Conservation course is available to scuba divers AND snorkelers.
The Marine Biology and Conservation Course costs just 75 Fijian Dollars, with a snorkel trip. Everything is included.
The Marine Biology and Conservation Course with a scuba dive costs just 195 Fijian Dollars, everything included (and 220 if you use our onboard rental gear).
FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS…
First, to make your travel easier and more luxurious, we maintain an onboard rental supply of every piece of dive-gear you might need – all modern, perfectly maintained, and ready to go. This is great for people who don’t want to purchase or carry their own dive gear while traveling.
Tui Tai is the South Pacific’s only “Full-Service Dive Operation in Luxury-Adventure Class.” What this means is when you dive, you don’t have to touch a scuba tank. We literally put it on your back and take it off your back. And the gear? Just leave it in our dive-boat and our crew deals with getting it onboard the main vessel, rinsed, and ready for your next dive. We do everything required to maintain our dives in Luxury-Adventure Class.
Also, we offer great price incentives for those dedicated divers who do more than four dives. Your first four dives are 140 Fijian Dollars each (160 if you use any of our onboard rental gear).
On each dive after your fourth dive, the cost also dives: 100 Fijian Dollars per dive (120 if you use any of our onboard rental gear).
Each dive after your eighth dive will cost just 70 Fijian Dollars (90 if you use any of our onboard rental gear).
ADVENTURES IN DIVING PROGRAM
If you’re already a certified diver and would like to extend your skills and knowledge of diving, you can participate in one or more Adventure Dives. You can even do five dives and earn your PADI Advanced Open Water Certification.
PADI ADVENTURE DIVE AND ADVANCED OPEN WATER RATES

Any of these dives with everything included is just 205 Fijian dollars (225 if you use any of our onboard rental gear).
If you do five or more dives, and earn your official PADI Advanced Open Water Certificate, the cost including the PADI Certificate Fees and everything else goes down to just 175 Fijian Dollars per dive, or 920 Fijian Dollars for the whole Advanced Open Water Certification course (25 Fijian Dollars more per dive if you use any of our onboard rental gear).
A WORD ABOUT THE COST OF SCUBA DIVING ON TUI TAI
Tui Tai offers diving in ten different regions, with scores of underwater environments our guests can experience, and with an onboard Marine Biologist, Dive-Master, Dive-Instructor, and a brilliant underwater photographer on every dive. And we get you to these far flung islands and sites in luxury, with great food, and the best amenities we can dream up.
Yet our prices for diving have remained lower than anyone else can offer for all these regions. For people who do many dives, the prices are simply the lowest in the South Pacific. We’re often asked how that’s possible, and the answer is that our guests have made it possible by diving so often during the expeditions. We’re not responsible for creating these amazing dive sites, of course, but we found them and we get people there – and after that, they just naturally want to keep diving. The result is that our dives-per-passenger rate is very high. Further, even guests who aren’t certified divers and never planned to be – they take the Discover Scuba Course, and then they too tend to keep diving during the expedition.
So the natural economy of scale that comes from the natural result of people wanting to keep diving into the natural beauty of Fiji – that’s what’s kept our costs so reasonable.
Note: Gear rental price includes all or any of the following items as may be required: BCD, regulator, wet suit, mask, snorkel, fins.
DIVE COMPUTERS
Tui Tai requires that all divers use Dive Computers for safe diving. If you don’t have your own, we rent high-quality UWATEC Aladdin dive computers for 17 Fijian Dollars per day, or 50 Fijian Dollars for the duration of the expedition.
